Day of Stillness and Meditation
Friends Meeting House, Hampstead Garden Suburb, London. Please note the different venue
This day is provided as a CPD day for Healers and Spiritual Counsellors for them to fill up their “spiritual batteries”. It is however open to anyone who welcomes the opportunity to spend a day in silence and meditation, simply BEING in beautiful natural surroundings.
The location – Friends Meeting House at 17 North Square London NW11 7AD at the heart of Hampstead Garden suburb - is an Arts and Crafts building which not only has its own wooded garden but also nestles on the edge of an ancient woodland.
Harry Hicks, a tutor on our healing course, will lead the day which will be divided into guided meditations on each of the major chakras and periods of silence. Apart from checking in at the beginning and feeding back at the end, the whole day will be spent in silence, including the lunch break. However a room will be set aside for anyone who feels the need to communicate with words.
Attendees should ideally bring with them a packed lunch so that there is no need to leave the Meeting House or woods during the day. Drinks and biscuits will be provided for tea and coffee breaks.
Public transport is via the Northern Line to Golders Green and then a 20 minute walk or the H2 bus from outside the tube station. There is unlimited parking.
